The representative of the Ministry of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany Suzanne Ungrad refused to answer the question about the possible timing of the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that she asked journalists to ask their question to the Federal Network Agency, which is responsible for the certification of SP2.

“The operating permit has already been received. It's about certification. The Federal Network Agency is responsible for this, ”Ungrad said during the briefing.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the completion on Wednesday, December 29, of filling the second string of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline with gas.

The corresponding information was confirmed by the chairman of the board of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller.

Nord Stream 2 envisaged the construction of two strings of a gas pipeline with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the Russian coast through the Baltic Sea to Germany - from the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad Region to Greifswald.
