A number of small enterprises in Moldova will receive grants of 2 million lei for the development of exports

Moldova (bbabo.net), - Ten Moldovan small, small and medium-sized enterprises exporting goods and services to foreign markets will receive up to 2 million lei each in the form of a grant from the state and GIZ. This was approved on January 6 by the Steering Committee of the Business Support Program with potential for growth and internationalization managed by the Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprise Sector (ODIMM), mybusiness.md reports

Companies working in areas such as digital marketing, cereal production, mineral water production, honey processing, glycerin production, fruit filling for confectionery, recyclable paper cups, and chocolate-covered fruit and nuts will internationalize their business with these grants. ..

Within the framework of financial support under the “Grant” scheme, the total cost of investments after the implementation of investment projects will be 28,291,923 lei, of which the amount of gratuitous financing is 12,836,501 lei.

Of the total number of SMEs whose investment projects have been selected for financing under the Grant scheme, 60% have up to 9 employees (classified as "small enterprises"), 20% - up to 49 employees ("small"), 20% - up to 249 employees ("average"). At the same time, out of the total number of financed SMEs, 50% reach an annual turnover of up to 9 million lei, 30% - up to 25 million lei, 20% sell for up to 50 million lei.

At the same time, at the meeting of the committee, it was decided to provide eight business vouchers worth up to 100 thousand lei for access to business development services in the total amount of 428 419 lei.

Thanks to the Business Support Program with high growth potential and internationalization, products and services from the Republic of Moldova will be available on international markets in countries such as: Romania, Ukraine, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland, France, UK, Netherlands, Canada, USA, Israel , United Arab Emirates, Russia, Belarus and other countries in Europe and Asia.

The program to support businesses with high growth potential and their internationalization was approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Moldova No. 439 of July 1, 2020. The goal of the Program is to promote sustainable economic growth by attracting investments, increasing the competitiveness and productivity of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, as well as their internationalization ... Within the framework of the program, SMEs receive information and consulting support, financial assistance in the form of business vouchers worth up to 100,000 lei and grants up to 2 million lei. The program is open to small and medium-sized enterprises that have been on the market for at least 2 years, show continuous growth and plan to enter new markets or replace the import of goods or services to the Republic of Moldova.
