Japan Declines Joining Regional Bank Proposed by China

Japan declined today to join as a founding member of ADB (Asian Development Bank) Infrastructure Investment, coinciding with the end of the registration period.

The information was provided to the press today by Finance Minister Taro Aso, after a cabinet meeting.

More than 40 countries have applied to join capability as founders of this regional organization to begin operation in late 2015 with initial capital of 50 billion dollars.
