Earlier, the head of the American foreign policy department said that the ability to accept countries that wish to join NATO is the main principle of the alliance.

The Secretary of State noted that the United States is counting on the continuation of the diplomatic dialogue with Russia. However, Washington is also ready for the dialogue to end.
