Russia - Klishas appreciated the amendments to the law on QR codes

Russia (bbabo.net), - All the amendments prepared by the government for the second reading of the bill on QR codes are justified, believes Andrey Klishas, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building.

"The government's amendments are justified and answer the questions that citizens and regions asked when discussing the law," Klishas told RIA Novosti.

The senator also stressed that the bill, which affects the rights and freedoms of citizens, "should undergo the most detailed discussion."

Earlier on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced that the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the United Russia party, decided to postpone consideration of the bill on QR codes in the second reading in the State Duma. This was done due to the uncertainty of the development of the situation with COVID-19 after the spread of the Omicron strain.

According to the prepared amendments, from February 1, it will be possible to visit public places with a negative PCR test; The Ministry of Health will be able to set the validity period of certificates for citizens who have a medical exemption from vaccination; military personnel and persons equivalent to them will be able to obtain a certificate in compliance with the necessary data protection requirements.
