Russia - Police officers rescue elk entangled in wires near Omsk

Russia (bbabo.net), - In the Krutinsky district of the Omsk region, police and motorists rescued an elk trapped in wires.

This morning, the police department on duty received a message that on the 389th kilometer of the Tyumen-Omsk federal highway, an elk was unsuccessfully trying to get out of a ditch. Drivers assumed that the animal was hit by a car.

- An employee of the State traffic inspectorate, together with a hunting inspector, immediately arrived at the scene, - reports the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Omsk Region. - It turned out that the elk got entangled with its horns in the low-hanging wires.

The animal was exhausted, and due to a strong snowstorm, special equipment could be delayed on the road. Therefore, the police decided to save the moose on their own and turned to motorists for help. The drivers responded to the request and provided ropes, hooks and other equipment.

The operation to rescue the wild animal lasted about two hours. After the wires were untangled, the moose was able to move on its own and ran into the forest.
