Russia (bbabo.net), - Washington's reaction to Moscow's proposals for security guarantees will allow us to conclude whether it makes sense to continue consultations. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel

According to the senator, the month that has passed since Russia submitted proposals for security guarantees is enough time to work out a response.

"I am closely following the preparation of the US response, there is every reason to believe that it will appear this week," Kosachev stressed.

The politician added that from this reaction it will be clear on which issues it will be possible to move forward in the dialogue, and which topics the US is ignoring.

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier on Monday, Moscow hopes to receive written responses from the US and NATO to its proposals for security guarantees in the coming days, and then to conduct contacts on this topic.
