Russian inspectors to inspect British military facility

Sergei Ryzhkov, head of Russia's National Center for Nuclear Risk Reduction, said that on January 18, Russian experts would inspect a British military facility as part of the implementation of the 2011 Vienna Document "On Confidence and Security Building Measures," TASS reports.

He specified that the inspectors would visit the British military installation at its usual location, the inspection would last one day.

A briefing will also be held for Russian inspectors, during which they will provide information from the command of the military facility, in particular data on the number of personnel and on the main weapons and equipment systems.

Ryzhkov explained that such inspections are carried out in order to verify information about the military forces and plans for the deployment of major weapons systems and military equipment.

The last visit of Russian inspectors to Great Britain took place in September. In the same month, the Russian military checked military installations in Estonia and Finland.
