The Kremlin reacted to the supply of arms to Kiev by the West

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Western statements about plans to supply Ukraine with additional weapons, including man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS).

“This is all in line with our concerns in connection with the development of the territory of Ukraine by various suppliers of weapons, which are often not only defensive, but also offensive, especially here, as you say, MANPADS were mentioned. The circulation of MANPADS is a separate substance that is regulated by international law,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

He stressed that events are taking an extremely dangerous turn and are not conducive to reducing tensions.

The day before, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that the United Kingdom would send weapons to Ukraine for "self-defense".

Prior to this, CNN reported that the Washington administration had approved $200 million in additional defense assistance to Kiev.

According to the sources of the TV channel, we are talking about appropriations for the same pieces of equipment that the United States has already supplied in the past, including small arms and ammunition.
