The main theme of the festival is the anniversary, we are holding it for the 15th time, - Sergei Khlebnikov, a member of the Public Council of the Spasskaya Tower, told the correspondent. - Around this date and we will dance.
By tradition, the arrival of foreign participants is expected: military and police orchestras, folklore groups. According to Khlebnikov, contracts have already been signed with some of them. But who exactly and from which countries - we will find out in the spring. For now, it's a military secret.
- Your colleagues from Edinburgh - the organizers of the famous festival Royal Edinbuh Military Tattoo - report on large investments in design and pyrotechnics, about some kind of innovative show, and even announced that a "new festival era" will come this year - I provoke the organizers "Spasskaya Tower". - How will you answer Edinburgh?
- We will also have innovations, this will affect the scenario and the use of technical means, but all within the framework of the established format. And I will explain why: the audience likes our format. And since success has been tested by time, then we must follow this path: military bands with the participation of civilian groups. The backbone of the organizers of the holiday also remains stable: in addition to the founding father Sergei Khlebnikov himself, these are the permanent head of the directorate Sergei Smirnov and the music director Major General Timofey Mayakin (head of the Military Band Service of the Armed Forces - chief military conductor).
It was not by chance that I mentioned the Edinburgh Festival. It is not just the oldest and largest. It was his experience that formed the basis of our festival: members of the British royal family gave practical advice on organizing a Military Tattoo show in Moscow.
Last year, of all military music festivals (there are dozens of them in the world), only we managed to hold a holiday. This year, in the capital of Scotland, they will try to organize a show in spite of all covids, tickets are already on sale: at a price of 35 to 640 pounds (a pound at the current exchange rate is 104 rubles). Ticket prices for the Spasskaya Tower will be announced a little later.
