Germany calls for early launch of Nord Stream 2

In Germany, Manuela Schwesig, the head of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, advocated the speedy certification of Nord Stream 2. "I firmly believe that we urgently need this pipeline across the Baltic Sea," RIA Novosti quoted the politician as saying.

According to Schwesig, economic interaction with Moscow, and in particular the supply of Russian gas, will allow F to make a transition to renewable energy sources.

In the meantime, there is not enough blue fuel, it is premature to abandon nuclear and coal energy.

This week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his German counterpart Annalena Berbock discussed the certification process for SP-2, recalling that the project is aimed at ensuring Germany's energy security.

Recall that the second line of Nord Stream 2 does not fully comply with European legal standards. The certification process has been delayed. Due to the newly formed German subsidiary, additional documents were requested from the gas pipeline operator. As soon as these documents are received by the regulator, the certification process should be resumed. In total, this can take four to six months.
