Russia (bbabo.net) - In Krasnodar, the prosecutor's office organized an audit to assess the actions of city authorities to combat the consequences of heavy snowfall that hit the regional capital. According to the press service of the supervisory agency, an assessment will be given to the removal of snow from roads, sidewalks and adjacent areas.

- Due to heavy snowfalls in the city, roads and sidewalks are covered with a high layer of snow, which leads to negative consequences in the form of a violation of the rights of citizens in the field of traffic safety, - said Ekaterina Podgorbunskikh, senior assistant to the prosecutor of Krasnodar.

Employees of the prosecutor's office will check the actions of the administrations of the districts of the city, as well as the management companies responsible for cleaning the territories. In addition, the response of contractors to eliminate the consequences of a snowfall and the spending of budget money will be assessed.

Combined vehicles, motor graders, tractors and front loaders are now clearing snow from the streets of the city. The main highways of Krasnodar are now in an acceptable condition, city services are cleaning secondary roads. Almost 700 tons of a special mixture of sand and salt were used to improve the adhesion of snow to the wheels.

As previously reported, a historical maximum of snow fell in Krasnodar in a few days - more than 40 centimeters. Due to bad weather on January 24, lessons at schools were canceled, and the airport of the regional capital was closed to clear the runways.
