Moldova (bbabo.net), - President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met with Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Victoria Cmilyte-Nielsen, who is on a visit to our country. The discussions focused on the development of the security situation in the region and the challenges that our country must face in this year, the most important of them is the energy crisis.

The officials also talked about Lithuania's experience in strengthening the country's energy independence, one of the solutions to this was the development of green and renewable energy.

The Head of State thanked Victoria Cmilyte-Nielsen for the friendship and support that Lithuania has always shown towards Moldova.

“I expressed interest in using the potential of economic cooperation between our countries. And also noted the desire to increase cooperation in the field of security in order to fight disinformation and false news that pose a threat to today's democracies,” said President Maia Sandu.
