UN blames Taliban for dozens of killings of former regime supporters and ISIS fighters

UN Secretary General António Guterres, in his report to the Security Council, accused the Taliban ruling in Afghanistan (the movement is prohibited in the Russian Federation) of dozens of murders, extrajudicial executions and kidnappings.

The document claims that the victims were former officials, security officials and ordinary Afghans who collaborated with NATO and UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan) forces, as well as supporters of ISIS (banned in the Russian Federation).

Guterres noted that more than a hundred people were killed in this way. Although there is no evidence of this, the Secretary General said that this information is credible.

He added that according to available information, the Taliban killed at least fifty people accused of having links with ISIS.

The Taliban have not yet commented on these allegations.
