The Russian Embassy in the United States called the statement by the State Department on the need for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements a positive signal. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the diplomatic mission.
“We consider as a positive signal the statement of the representative of the State Department Ned Price on the need for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements, voiced during the briefing, which took place on February 2. At the same time, we note the ongoing attempts to shift the problem from a “sick head to a healthy one” and accuse our country of disrupting the agreements reached,” the Russian diplomats said in a statement.
The publication emphasized that "Russia is not a party to the conflict, so the main task is to force the Ukrainian authorities to fulfill their obligations." The embassy added that they are waiting for concrete actions from Washington in working with Kiev.
Earlier, State Department spokesman Ned Price said that the United States is in favor of the full implementation of the Minsk agreements and sees them as a way to defuse the conflict with Ukraine, but the United States considers Russia to be guilty of violating the agreements.
