The new deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Natalia Poklonskaya, in an interview with TASS, said that she sees her priority in the department as protecting the rights of compatriots, in particular in Ukraine.
“In Rossotrudnichestvo and in this position, I will try to fulfill my duties with dignity for the good of our Motherland and for the good of people. The rights of compatriots abroad, in particular in Ukraine, are priority areas,” she said.
Poklonskaya added that she would do everything in order to "strengthen her position and fulfill her duties with dignity."
Earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the dismissal of Natalia Poklonskaya, Ambassador to Cape Verde. By another decree, the head of state appointed Poklonskaya to the post of deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The appointment of Natalia Poklonskaya Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cape Verde became known on October 13, 2021. On January 19 of this year, she refused to take this post due to personal circumstances. The Russian Foreign Ministry also referred to "changed personal circumstances", which confirmed her refusal.
