Putin appointed Poklonskaya to a new position

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree dismissing Natalia Poklonskaya, Ambassador to Cape Verde. The relevant document signed by the head of state is published on the Official Internet Portal of Legal Information.

By another decree, Putin appointed Poklonskaya to the post of deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo.

“To appoint Poklonskaya Natalya Vladimirovna as Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation,” the document says.

The decree comes into force from the moment of its signing.

The appointment of Natalia Poklonskaya Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cape Verde became known on October 13, 2021. On January 19 of this year, she refused to take this post due to personal circumstances. The Russian Foreign Ministry also referred to "changed personal circumstances", which confirmed her refusal.
