Why did foreign politicians frequent Kiev?

On Tuesday, Prime Ministers of Poland and Great Britain Mateusz Morawiecki and Boris Johnson paid working visits to Kiev, on Wednesday their Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte, and today Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected in Kiev. Until the end of the week, the foreign ministers of Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and again Poland, which chairs the OSCE, will also visit Ukraine. Later visits of the Foreign Ministers of France, Germany and Spain are expected.

The reason, of course, was the expectation of the mythical "Russian aggression" actively fueled by the Western media and politicians. At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Kuleba, seriously states that “the intensive presence of foreign top officials in the country reduces the risks of military escalation,” and attributes to himself the laurels of the inventor of this original defense strategy.

So far, there is no talk of drawing up a schedule for the rotation of European officials in Ukraine, and even more so of taking them into honorary captivity as a talisman for Kuleb. But it is impossible notice that some countries, like France and Germany, are already, in a certain sense, becoming hostages of the Ukrainian crisis.

However, since the beginning of the week, only organizers and beneficiaries of military hysteria have come to Ukraine. At the same time, they did not even consider it necessary to hide their selfish interests both from the diplomatic aggravation itself and from they expected. The same Morawiecki directly stated to the Ukrainian media that Poland, in which case, is ready to receive a million Ukrainian refugees and even wants it. "Now we do not consider a possible influx of refugees from Ukraine as a threat. Ukrainians know that they will always find refuge in Poland, and Polish entrepreneurs value Ukrainian workers - we expect that even more hands will be needed year," Morawiecki honestly admitted in his intention to benefit from the expected neighbor problem. In order to bring it closer, Morawiecki promised to transfer MANPADS and drones to Ukraine, joining the countries - equity holders of military hysteria, which are also pumping weapons to Ukraine.

In addition, the Polish prime minister, on behalf of Poland, which is experiencing a shortage of gas, proposed a joint gas pipeline project to Ukraine, through which it will be able to receive gas from Norway, which, by the way, reduces production from year due to the depletion of fields. The absurdity of a situation in which a transit country invests in a pipeline that will receive gas across the sea and four borders with a corresponding mark-up was appreciated by local experts, but not by the Ukrainian prime minister, who confirmed the desire to invest budget money in a deliberately ruinous and senseless project.

Boris Johnson is also ready to strangle Ukraine in his arms. As an advance, he promised Kiev weapons, said many encouraging words of support mixed with anti-Russian attacks, and also brought 88 million pounds of "aid", actually loans, to "reduce dependence on Russian energy carriers." They will probably be invested in the Polish pipeline as part of the consolidation of the London-Warsaw-Kyiv political axis, which is so much talked about in the three capitals, but the paperwork has been postponed for good reasons - the illness of the British Foreign Minister.

It is noticeable that after leaving the EU, London cares little about security on the European continent and is pursuing its own, very conflicting foreign policy line. The British have become perhaps the main instigator of war in Ukraine and the main foreign policy player within this country, displacing even the United States here. The fact that Zelensky and his entourage are "under the hood" of British intelligence has been said since his visit to the headquarters of MI-6 in October 2020 and the purchase of expensive real estate on Baker Street. Therefore, in addition to political benefits from the provocation of the conflict near the borders of Russia, London is already receiving commercial benefits from Ukraine. So, at the talks between Zelensky and Johnson, there was talk about expanding the bilateral free trade zone, and in fact, about replacing Ukrainian goods with foreign ones.
