Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urged to remain calm amid reports of Russia's invasion

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolaenko urged to "keep calm" and "consolidate within the country" against the backdrop of Western media reports about the threat of Russia's "invasion", the Politika strany Telegram channel reports.

He noted that at present it is important "to avoid actions that undermine stability and sow panic." Nikolaenko stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are constantly monitoring developments and are ready to rebuff any infringement on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Earlier, the American television channel NBC published another map of the alleged Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to which full-scale military operations will unfold in nine directions. Prior to this, the German publication Bild and the American Washington Post shared their plans for the "invasion".

Also, foreign media have already calculated military losses from Russia and Ukraine in the event of a full-scale conflict, and Bloomberg even released a news item with a headline about an alleged “invasion” that had already begun.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine itself, journalists were asked not to fan the panic about the “Russian invasion”. In turn, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Lavrov, condemned the press for spreading speculative reports about the capture of Ukraine.
