The hospitalized Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said he would be released from the hospital in a few days. It is reported by TASS.

According to him, hospitalization is preventive in nature.

“I have my own [reasons] here, I had a difficult operation at one time, so after that I have to undergo medical examination, prevention, and especially in such a pandemic,” the politician explained.

Zyuganov stressed that it was not a matter of suspicion of coronavirus, and added that the discharge was planned in two to three days.

Earlier, he said that he feels fine and is in working condition.

The hospitalization of the politician became known the day before. The Communist Party said that Zyuganov showed signs of a cold. At the same time, the grandson of the party leader said that he was undergoing a routine medical examination, which takes place annually. He stressed that information about the coronavirus is “inflated”.
