Russia - Ten interchanges are being built on the M-12 highway

Russia (bbabo.net) - 10 out of 19 transport interchanges are already being built on the future high-speed federal highway M-12, the state company Avtodor reported.

So, at the zero stage in the Moscow region, two interchanges are being built out of three planned. In the Vladimir region, grillages are being installed on two pillars of the overpass.

Three interchanges are under construction in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In the Chuvash region, builders work at two interchanges, in Tatarstan - at three.

The decision to build M-12 was made in 2019. M-12 is part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure (KMI). The 811 km long road will connect Moscow with Kazan and unite five regions: Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Chuvash Republic and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The federal highway M-12 will reduce travel time from Moscow to Kazan to six and a half hours (instead of 12). The road will connect 17 major regional economic centers, bring freight traffic outside the settlements and improve road safety.
