Russia - Peskov urged not to exaggerate the topic of reservations of politicians and diplomats

Russia (bbabo.net), - Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov expressed the hope that the reservations of high-ranking politicians are just reservations. True, he noted their problems with reading the Minsk agreements.

Answering questions at a briefing that US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield confused Donbass with Crimea, and British Foreign Minister Liz Truss refused to recognize Russia's sovereignty over the Rostov and Voronezh regions, Peskov urged "reservations to be called reservations and hope to the last that It's about stipulations."

"Indeed, the leading figures of world diplomacy have problems with reading the very short and extremely clear text of the Minsk Package of Measures - this is obvious," the presidential press secretary also noted. “Hence the oversights and inaccuracies that lead to a conceptual misunderstanding of what is happening on the part of our opponents. Hence the inability of very qualified high-ranking political advisers to the heads of state of the Normandy Four to read the same text and draw from it the same understanding,” he believes.

"The only hope is for our diplomats that they will proactively continue to defend our interests and patiently explain the geographic, geopolitical and other realities to their interlocutors," Peskov continued.

When journalists noticed that Moscow allegedly "sluggishly" reacts to reservations and does notes, the presidential press secretary emphasized: "A reservation is different for a reservation."

"Still, all people, let's not be too exalted," he urged. "Indeed, there are situations when it comes to deliberate reservations, and then the Russian side does not remain silent, but, on the contrary, actively defends its interests," Peskov said.

They also asked the president's press secretary why Putin doesn't have reservations. "Why? It happens, all people," he objected and added that, probably, the head of state does not have reservations on serious issues, but everyone has them.
