The French Foreign Ministry commented on the meeting of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries, held in Berlin, whose task is to resolve the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The political advisers of the Normandy format, who gathered yesterday in Berlin, continued to discuss the implementation of the Minsk agreements, in particular its political, humanitarian and security aspects. Even if the discussions were long and difficult, they confirmed the common desire to implement the Minsk agreements, ”said the representative of the French foreign ministry.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia Dmitry Kozak spoke about the meeting. According to him, the negotiations were fruitless, but this is also a result, since now it has become clear what the statements of the partners in the Normandy format are worth. Kozak noted that Kiev has been sabotaging the implementation of the agreements reached under the Normandy format for eight years.

The Normandy Four was formed in June 2014 and consists of Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine.
