“After the French aircraft carrier strike group joined Operation Chammal, the Forbin frigate established contact with the Russian Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate,” the report says.

The French General Staff did not tell about the details of the operation. They noted that the sailors had a professional exchange on the topic of ensuring the safety of the ongoing maneuvers.

Earlier it was reported that over 40 ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy were involved in large-scale exercises in the Crimea. During the exercise, coastal troops carried out anti-sabotage defense of the coast. Also, ships and boats fought with naval assault groups.
