Four US Air Force B-52 strategic nuclear bombers landed at Fairford Air Force Base in Gloucestershire, flying from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. The plane landing was filmed on Twitter.

According to RT, officials claim that the visit of the American bombers was prepared for a long time and is not connected with the aggravation of relations between Western countries and Russia.

At the same time, the US Air Force reports that on the way to the UK, the planes conducted exercises with British Typhoon fighters and Portuguese F-16s.

The B-52s arrived on the eve of a visit to Moscow by British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace. As previously reported, Wallace will hold talks with Sergei Shoigu and lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
