Putin commented on the protests in Kazakhstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that in January of this year Kazakhstan became a victim of international gangs. It is reported by TASS.

On Thursday, February 10, the Russian leader met in Moscow with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym Zhomart-Tokayev.

“This is our first meeting after the January events, when Kazakhstan became, without any exaggeration, the victim of some international gangs that took advantage of the difficult situation inside the country,” Putin said.

According to the President of the Russian Federation, he met with the leader of the Republic of Kazakhstan before the New Year and there were no prerequisites for illegal protests.

On February 9, the Kremlin named the topics of the upcoming talks between Putin and Tokayev. On the agenda was, among other things, trade and economic cooperation between Moscow and Nur-Sultan.

Earlier it was explained that Tokayev's visit to Moscow would become a planned one. According to preliminary information, after the end of negotiations with Putin, Tokayev will go to Kazan.
