Earlier, United States President Joe Biden promised to destroy Nord Stream 2 if Russia invades Ukraine. According to the American leader, “everyone forgets” that the Russian economy allegedly relies “only on the ability to sell oil and gas, this is the only thing that Moscow has in terms of exports.” If Russia is left without the possibility of such supplies, then it will be seriously affected, the US President added.
Nord Stream 2 is a two-line gas pipeline. The length of each of them is 1.2 thousand km. They run from the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) to the German Greifswald. The total capacity of the gas pipeline will be 55 billion cubic meters. m of gas per year.
