However, on January 29, he and his family left their home in Ottawa out of fear for their safety amid mass protests by truck drivers. The protesters demanded the cancellation of the anti-COVID package, which came into force on January 15. The authorities have ordered unvaccinated truckers who return from the United States to take PCR tests and maintain a 14-day quarantine.
