French President Emmanuel Macron said that neither Russia nor Europe is interested in disorder and instability.

On February 7, Macron arrived in Moscow, where he held five-hour talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. On February 8, the French leader traveled to Kiev for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The main topic of the talks was the situation around Ukraine.

“In order to avoid war, to create elements of trust, stability, visibility, this tense situation requires a useful response for our entire Europe, as well as for Russia. Since neither Russia nor the Europeans are interested in disorder and instability,” the French leader summed up on his Instagram account following the results of two visits.

Also, US President Joe Biden had a conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron after the latter's visits to Moscow and Kiev. At the same time, Psaki noted that Washington is not yet ready to assess how, in the opinion of the United States, Macron's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow was successful.

On February 8, Macron visited Kiev, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. After the talks, the French leader said that Zelensky was ready to implement the Minsk agreements.
