The representative of the Ministry of Economy F expressed the department's concern about the low level of gas reserves in the country's storage facilities.

According to her, at the moment this volume is 35-36%. "Gas is supplied to us primarily through pipelines, here contracts are being implemented. We are monitoring the situation with gas storage facilities, and, of course, it causes concern," the official noted. At the same time, the decision to increase gas supplies "is a market question" and does not depend on the state.

In mid-December 2021, it became known that the occupancy of gas storage facilities F had dropped below the level of 60%, which became a kind of anti-record of the last few years.

According to Gazprom's data, published on February 4, 84.7% (40.5 billion cubic meters) of gas pumped in the summer season has been withdrawn from underground gas storage facilities (UGS) in Europe. The overall level of occupancy of underground storage facilities in Europe is 36.7%, while UGS facilities in Germany and France have already been depleted by two-thirds, the report said.
