Canada is planning to supply military equipment to Ukraine this week as part of a previously announced aid package. This is reported by the CBC TV channel.

The Ministry of National Defense will also provide Ukraine with non-lethal military equipment, including body armor, metal detectors, thermal imaging binoculars, laser rangefinders, medical bags and surveillance equipment.

As Lieutenant Colonel Luc-Frédéric Gilbert explained, the equipment "will arrive this week."

At the moment, the exact dates and delivery date are not known. There is also no information about which units of the armed forces of Ukraine will receive equipment.

According to the lieutenant colonel, the military withdrew 60 servicemen from five settlements - Odessa, Kiev, Nikolaev, Desna and Borjomi. All of them were moved to new bases west of the Dnieper River.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry ruled out granting a special status to Donbass.
