Russia (bbabo.net), - "Rostelecom" in the Novosibirsk region put into operation several automated systems for weight and overall control of vehicles. The customer of the work was the state institution "Territorial Administration of Automobile Roads of the Novosibirsk Region".

The complexes appeared at once on several routes in the Chanovsky, Kargatsky, Barabinsky, Iskitimsky and Novosibirsk regions of the region. In particular, the weight and dimensions of vehicles will now be measured at 6 km of the K-24 highway "Novosibirsk - Tolmachevo Airport", at 3 km of the N-2138 highway "Novosibirsk - Krasny Yar" and at 4 km of the N-2145 highway from the village Krivodanovka to the northern bypass of the city of Novosibirsk. Under the terms of the contract, Rostelecom performed work as part of a major road repair.

"The control zone at each checkpoint is equipped with weight sensors and laser scanners for determining the dimensions of vehicles, as well as surveillance cameras for recording traffic violations and recognizing license plates. In addition, photo and video recording systems help to see heavy trucks evading weight and size control by bypassing the equipment on the side of the road or in the oncoming lane," said Nikolai Zenin, Vice President and Director of the Siberia macro-regional branch of Rostelecom.

The established points make it possible to ensure the safety of highways of regional or intermunicipal significance by monitoring heavy trucks passing along the routes of the Novosibirsk Region. The complexes record the weight and overall parameters of cars around the clock and in any weather, the results are transmitted to the customer's data center. If the maximum indicators are exceeded, information about violators goes to the regional center for automatic recording of administrative offenses of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
