The armed forces of Russia and Belarus have begun joint military exercises "Allied Resolve - 2022", which are taking place at the Domanovsky, Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brestsky and Osipovichsky training grounds. This is reported by the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“During the stage of combat coordination at the training grounds, issues of conducting defense and combating illegal armed groups are being worked out,” the agency’s website says.
The exercises will take place in two stages. From February 2 to February 9, the units will redeploy, create groupings of troops and organize the protection and defense of important state and military facilities. It is also planned to check the readiness of air defense to carry out tasks to cover important objects on the territory of Belarus.
From February 10 to February 20, the allied forces will work out "issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression", as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State.
Earlier, State Secretary of the Union State of Belarussia Dmitry Mezentsev said that Moscow and Minsk intend to continue to cooperate, thus responding to the sanctions.
