Russia (bbabo.net), - In the city of Muravlenko, public utilities have begun reconstruction of a 2,000 cubic meter clean water reservoir at the VOS-2 water treatment plant. This tank is designed for accumulation and storage of drinking water before its direct supply to water points.
To date, the contractor LLC "Geostroymontazh" has completed the dismantling of insulation, roofing, 50% shells and internal pipelines of the tank. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of summer.
"The previous tank was installed more than 36 years ago. Any structure has the ability to physically and morally become obsolete, and for these purposes it is necessary to replace it in a timely manner to ensure the safe operation of the facility," said Vasily Lyapustin, Deputy Director for Production - Chief Engineer of the branch of JSC " Yamalkommunenergo" in Muravlenko "Teplo".
The work is carried out within the framework of the investment program of the branch of JSC "Yamalkommunenergo" in the city of Muravlenko "Teplo" in relation to the water supply system. The reconstruction event is planned in two phases. At the first stage, in 2021, parts of the tank were delivered to the construction site.
Such updating of water supply systems will increase the reliability and safety of the communal facility, create conditions for maintaining the parameters and characteristics at the required level during its operation, and also improve the quality of drinking water.
It should be noted that four similar reservoirs have been installed for the city's water supply.
