The elected spoke about how the state guarantees that chemical castration will not affect the innocent

Citizens innocently convicted of pedophilia can be released from life imprisonment and reinstated from chemical castration. Anatoly Vyborny, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, stated this in an interview.

“Both chemical castration and life imprisonment are reversible. If innocence is established as a result of a review of the case, stopping the course of chemicals will allow the person to recover, and life imprisonment can also be canceled with compensation for damage to the innocently convicted,” Vyborny explained.

He added that crimes against the sexual inviolability of children leave "a lot of traces" on which it is possible to identify the offender with a high degree of probability.

“Just imagine that just one drop of blood, saliva and a piece of a nail contains a complete set of human DNA. This makes it possible with a high degree of probability to establish not only the origin of the trace from a particular person, but also its biological relationship, and even gender,” the deputy noted.

He stressed that the results of the examination are only one of the proofs of guilt, the testimonies of the victims also cannot be “the only and sufficient” evidence in the case, otherwise the verdict “has no chance of standing on appeal.”
