At the end of 2020, a six-party agreement was signed on cooperation in the development of a mountain tourism cluster between the administration of Sochi, the Caucasus Reserve, the national park, the management companies of the Gazprom mountain tourism center, the Rosa Khutor and Krasnaya Polyana resorts.
“As part of the agreement, a project is being formed to connect mountain resorts, the Esto-Sadok railway station and the urban-type settlement of Krasnaya Polyana with a single pedestrian connection,” said Inna Petukhova, Deputy Head of Sochi. - In addition to the existing four kilometers of the promenade, it is necessary to design and build another three kilometers of a well-maintained embankment, including sidewalks and bridge structures across the Mzymta and Laura rivers.
It is noted that the walking route will be in demand at any time of the year and will positively affect the ecology of the mountain cluster. The implementation of the project will improve the existing hiking trails, give impetus to the development of cycling, ensure the accessibility of the Esto-Sadok station complex, unite all-season resorts and halve the level of motorization of the mountain cluster.
