“I am categorically against heavy weapons. It is about supporting Ukraine, for example, with the supply of armored vehicles,” Strack-Zimmerman said.

According to her, armored combat vehicles could be used by Ukrainian troops to evacuate the wounded.

“This is an opportunity that the Chancellor could offer Ukraine,” Strack-Zimmerman said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk demanded to urgently provide Kiev with 12,000 anti-tank missiles.

Ukraine sent a list of necessary military assistance to Germany. At the same time, Germany has repeatedly stated that they will not supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.

Melnik also accused Germany of hypocrisy due to the export of dual-use goods to Russia.
