CAS announced the terms for consideration of the case of Kamila Valieva

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) plans to hear the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva on Saturday and Sunday, court secretary general Mathieu Ribe told Reuters.

According to Reeb, the proceedings have not yet begun, all procedural instructions will be given later on Saturday. He added that the case will be considered by a panel of three judges, and most of the evidence will be presented via video link.

Earlier, the press attache of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Olga Yermolina said that the decision on Valieva's admission to the Olympics would be made by CAS by 18:00 Moscow time on February 12.

The Figure Skating Federation has announced the deadline for the decision on Valieva's participation in the Olympics 2022. Earlier, CAS registered complaints from the IOC and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against the decision of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) to allow Valieva to compete.

RUSADA on February 8, after receiving a positive doping test result for trimetazidine, imposed a temporary suspension on the athlete, and the next day the agency's disciplinary committee overturned this decision.

Valieva, by the results of the test were made public, managed to win the gold of the Beijing Olympics as part of the Russian team. Individual figure skater competitions will be held at the Games on February 15 and 17.
