Ukrainian diplomat in Germany Andriy Melnyk demanded that Germany provide his country with 12,000 anti-tank missiles due to the aggravation of the situation around Russia's "invasion", Spiegel reports.

The ambassador noted that Kiev is resuming a request for the supply of heavy weapons, which was sent to Berlin on February 3. However, the publication recalls that the document dealt with electronic tracking systems, demining equipment, digital radio stations, night vision devices and other technical equipment.

“Today we must be prepared for the worst-case scenario,” Melnik said.

Earlier, Ukraine sent a list of necessary military assistance to Germany. At the same time, Germany has repeatedly stated that they will not supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.

Melnik also accused Germany of hypocrisy due to the export of dual-use goods to Russia.
