Canada will transfer its military from Ukraine to another place in Europe

The Canadian Ministry of Defense announced that it has begun to transfer its military personnel from Ukraine to another point in Europe, RIA Novosti reports.

“As a result of the current difficult operational environment associated with unjustified Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Canadian Armed Forces are in the process of temporarily relocating part of the Joint Task Force - Ukraine (JTF-U) to another location in Europe,” the ministry said.

The Department of Defense said in a statement that the temporary military relocation does not mean the end of the Canadian mission, but is intended to "refocus efforts" and maintain the safety of the Canadian military.

Earlier, the Canadian Ministry of Defense said that on February 4 they sent a C-177 Globemaster military transport aircraft with another batch of non-lethal weapons to Ukraine.

The West has repeatedly accused Russia of the impending "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation has allegedly increased its presence in the border zones with Ukraine - up to 125,000 soldiers.

Moscow denies all accusations and emphasizes that any movement of troops across the country's territory is a sovereign matter. NATO and the alliance's allies think otherwise and are preparing a package of sanctions in the event of an invasion.
