Increasingly, people understand that their rights can and should be protected by bringing offenders to court. In 2021, the courts considered 23 million 403 thousand civil disputes.

In particular, as Vyacheslav Lebedev said, over a million family disputes have been considered by the courts, which is 19 percent more than in 2020. At the same time, the number of divorce cases increased by 54,000, or 13 percent, and cases of recovery of alimony for the maintenance of minor children - by 90,000, or 38 percent.

"Family support in the Russian Federation is carried out, among other things, by paying child allowances, and last year the courts of the Russian Federation satisfied 76 percent of claims for the recovery of this category of payments," said Vyacheslav Lebedev. in the procedure of enforcement proceedings is illegal".

Housing disputes were considered by 1 million 112 thousand, or 12 percent more than in 2020. At the same time, 94 percent of them are cases on the collection of utility bills.

"The number of disputes over the provision of housing in connection with the recognition of a house as emergency has increased by 40 percent, in which the courts have satisfied 79 percent of citizens' claims," ​​Vyacheslav Lebedev said. that the housing provided in connection with the demolition of the house should be equivalent to the previously occupied area, not only in terms of total area, but also in terms of accessibility criteria, taking into account the state of health of the plaintiff.

The number of bankruptcy cases is also growing.

"Despite the introduction of out-of-court bankruptcy from September 1, 2020, of citizens whose debt ranges from 50 to 500 thousand rubles, the number of bankruptcy cases has almost doubled - from 74.6 thousand in 2020 to 146 thousand in 2021, - Vyacheslav Lebedev said: “In order to further simplify and speed up the procedure for releasing citizens from the debt burden, we propose to increase the amount of debt, within which bankruptcy is carried out out of court, to 1.5 million rubles.”

According to him, in case of bankruptcy of citizens, the courts ensure their rights in the social sphere. Therefore, the pension paid to a citizen-debtor during the period of sale of his property is not included by the courts in the bankruptcy estate.

An important point: 99 percent of all cases were considered by the courts in compliance with the procedural deadlines. That is, the lawsuits are not dragged out, the increase in workload has not led to red tape.

In the most sensitive disputes for ordinary citizens, such as labor disputes, it is the citizens who win most of the processes. Statistics show that the courts have granted 96 percent of wage claims and 53 percent of reinstatement disputes. Moreover, they began to reinstate people at work more often, and in 2020, employees managed to return their position only in 44 percent of cases.

"Judicial protection of consumer rights is of great social importance," says Vyacheslav Lebedev. "Last year, the courts considered 200,000 cases of this category, in which 80 percent of the requirements were satisfied."

He recalled one of the important legal positions.

"The courts take into account that the publication by a consumer of a negative review about a supplier of goods or services on the Internet is an exercise of the right to freedom of expression and cannot serve as a basis for the supplier to withdraw from the contract," the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia emphasized.
