“We are in favor of a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict. We will not be subjected to provocations... We understand all the risks and are ready for the development of any scenario. But we have been in this situation since 2014. And today, for us, the main enemy is panic, ”Zelensky’s website quotes a statement.
During the conversation, the interlocutors discussed the security situation and exchanged views and assessments on the latest international negotiations.
“The President of Ukraine also announced the need to introduce preventive sanctions against Russia in order to curb the aggressive intentions of the Kremlin,” the report says.
In turn, Michel reaffirmed the EU's strong and unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty.
