Western insurance companies may ban airlines from flying over Ukraine from February 14, RIA Novosti reports citing Ukrainian media.

According to participants in the Ukrainian insurance market, "British insurance companies are imposing an air blockade on Ukraine," and not a single plane will take off or take off from the country.

It is reported that the largest insurers from the UK sent an official message to all aircraft owners that insurance coverage in Ukraine for aircraft from Monday will no longer be valid.

In addition, insurers require airlines to take out aircraft from the territory of Ukraine, since they are leased. Risk insurance coverage for air transport remaining in the country will not be extended.
