The head of the republic noted in an interview with journalists that there is too much information in the information space on the subject of the alleged "invasion".

“If you or some people have additional information about the 100% invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation starting on the 16th, please give us such information,” the Ukrainian leader said.

“I believe that today in the information space there is a lot of information about a deep full-scale war on the part of the Russian Federation, even the corresponding dates are already being announced. We understand all the risks, we understand that these risks exist, ”TASS quoted him as saying.

Zelensky added that Ukraine needs to be ready for any steps "from any border".

On the eve of US national security adviser Jake Sullivan made a statement that Russia could take "aggressive steps" against Ukraine already during the Olympic Games.

“As we said earlier, we are at a stage where an invasion could start at any moment. I won't comment on the details of the intelligence we have, but I want to make it clear that it could start during the Olympics, despite many suggestions that it could only happen after the Olympics are over," he said, adding that The United States does not claim that the Russian Federation has made a final decision on the use of force against Ukraine.

Sullivan also suggested that Russia, in the event of a potential invasion of Ukraine, could capture the country's major cities, including Kiev.

Forcing tension around Ukraine

Recently Western countries, as well as Ukraine, have been making statements about a possible Russian “invasion” of Ukrainian territory. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called such information empty and unfounded escalation of tension. Peskov stressed that Russia poses no threat to anyone. At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility of provocations to justify such statements, and warned that attempts to resolve the crisis in southeastern Ukraine by force would have the most serious consequences.
