Russia (bbabo.net), - This year, Rosseti Yug will repair over 1.7 thousand kilometers of overhead power lines (VL) of low (0.4 kV) and medium (6-20 kV) voltage classes in regions of its presence.

6-10 kV overhead lines are involved in the transmission of electricity to settlements, and a large number of household consumers, as well as small and medium-sized businesses, are directly connected to 0.4 kV networks.

Low and medium voltage networks are the most affected by natural factors and external influences. They account for about 80 percent of the length of all power transmission lines of Rosseti South.

In the Rostov region, 847 kilometers of overhead lines will be repaired, 609 kilometers in Astrakhan, 216 kilometers in Volgograd, and 77 kilometers in Kalmykia. The complex of works in all regions includes the replacement of almost 569 kilometers of wire, over 5,000 supports and more than 25,000 insulators. Repair of low and medium voltage overhead lines will improve the reliability of power supply to consumers.

Recall that in 2021, Rosseti Yug completed the repair program for low and medium voltage power lines in full. 2.5 thousand kilometers of overhead powere repaired.
