Former Prime Minister of Ukraine explained why the United States needs an invasion of Russia

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that the United States wants a war to break out between Russia and Ukraine. He said this in an interview with mk.ru.

The former head of the Cabinet considered the information about a possible “Russian invasion” an American provocation.

“The goal is clear: to organize a war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. This is an absolutely obvious goal of the United States under all presidents. Russia is a military rival, the only country in the world that can destroy the United States in the event of a direct military conflict. Therefore, Russia must be weakened as much as possible, and even better, make it fall apart,” Azarov said.

He noted that the United States has been carrying out systematic work in this direction since 1946, and Washington's anti-Russian policy does not depend on the change of presidents in the White House.

Azarov also pointed out that in the Donbass, where Ukraine has concentrated a 150,000-strong army against 30-35 thousand defenders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, a military provocation supported by the American side from Kiev is possible.

“All the weapons that were supplied (by the USA and NATO) to Kiev recently went specifically to the Donbass. All this makes us think that it is there that a specific provocation is possible, ”the politician said.

Earlier, the DPR and LPR said that Ukraine was preparing an informational provocation to start large-scale hostilities in the Donbass. According to LPR intelligence, the operation called CRUSHING SWORD of the Ukrainian special services will be carried out jointly with Western colleagues. Its goal will be to mislead the world community and accuse the republics of Donbass and Russia of aggression against Ukraine.

The head of the people's militia of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic, Colonel Yan Leshchenko, explained that Kiev wants to sow panic among the population and the defenders of Donbass. Eduard Basurin, deputy head of the People's Militia Department of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, compared the actions of the Ukrainian authorities with how the Second World War began.

The story of a possible “Russian invasion” of Ukraine has been actively promoted in the West since mid-autumn last year. The US has consistently pointed to a supposed increase in Russia's presence near Ukraine's borders, threatening Moscow with new sanctions if it escalates. At the same time, the Kremlin has more than once directly denied any plans to attack Ukraine, on the contrary, pointing to the possible preparation of a military operation in the Donbass by Kiev.
