The Minister of Defense of Ukraine assessed the need to introduce martial law

The Ukrainian defense minister said on the ICTV channel that he sees no reason to introduce martial law. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“I am sure that there are absolutely no grounds for introducing such a provision of a special legal regime. In no case can this be done just for the sake of regulating the media atmosphere, ”said Reznikov.

He explained that martial law is introduced when an enemy army appears on the territory of the country, and expressed the hope that "such an invasion will not happen, and therefore everything will be fine."

The Defense Minister added that there is currently no reason to leave Ukraine.

“My assessment of the moment today is definitely not alarming. Exactly the absence today, let's say, of reasons to pack a suitcase and go somewhere. We are staying here and are not going anywhere,” he stressed.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed citizens who had gone abroad, saying that if they did not return within a day, the country would draw "serious conclusions."
