Biden evaded answering the question about the date of Russia's invasion of Ukraine

US President Joe Biden congratulated journalists on Valentine's Day when he was asked a question about Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine, which supposedly should happen one of these days. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The incident took place near the White House, where the president flew in with his wife, Jill, after a weekend at Camp David's country residence. Journalists began to shout out questions, but Biden did not stop to talk to them.

He was then asked by a correspondent if a Russian invasion of Ukraine was indeed "closer than ever." In response, the American president lowered his mask and said, "Happy Valentine's Day."

The day before, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine could begin any day. He also noted that the United States is ready to completely evacuate its embassy in Kiev if necessary.

The West has repeatedly accused Russia of the impending "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation has allegedly increased its presence in the border zones with Ukraine - up to 125 thousand soldiers.

Moscow denies all accusations and emphasizes that any movement of troops across the country is a sovereign matter. NATO and the alliance's allies think otherwise and are preparing a package of sanctions in the event of an invasion.
