Peskov invited Ukrainians to set alarms

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the citizens of Ukraine should not worry about the "Russian invasion" that is being discussed in the Western media. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the British tabloid The Sun said that Russia would "invade" Ukraine at 3:00 Kyiv time (4:00 Moscow time) on February 16. As the newspaper writes with reference to "American intelligence data", 200,000 military personnel should participate in the "offensive".

“It’s better for them to set alarms for this time and see for themselves,” Peskov said.

Earlier, the German edition of Spiegel reported that Russia's "attack" on Ukraine will begin on February 16. Prior to this, Bloomberg, citing officials, said that the United States believes that this will happen on February 15. British Minister Liz Truss called the likelihood of an "invasion" of the Russian Federation high and "very likely."

Peskov called such statements “information madness” and said that Vladimir Putin jokingly even “asks to know if the exact time in hours when the war starts is published.”
