Anna Larionova, a kindergarten teacher in the village of Shuya, Prionezhsky District, fought to the end and managed to defend her right not to do this.

Giving Anna a plot for the construction of a house, employees of the regional ministry of property and land relations even asked where exactly she would like to get it. And the girl answered: if possible, then on Rainbow Street. Nearby is a kindergarten where she works, as well as a school where her son studies.

Officials opened a public cadastral map and found a free site on Raduzhnaya. He was framed. After that, the teacher, together husband and son, planned the territory. The boy was especially happy: he would finally have his own room. They also wanted to take Anya's parents with them - by the way, they lived with them even then. We thought about the second child: why not. Soon, the foundation was poured on the site and outlets for the future kitchen and bathroom were left. And electricity was brought to the nearest pole. And suddenly, like a thunder from a clear sky, the news - it turned out that this small area is the site of an ancient man. Anna was sued, which decided that she should not only return the land, but remove the foundation (by the way, it was impossible to use heavy equipment). And she had to conduct archaeological research at her own expense.

- I am aware of this story, and it is not the first in Karelia, - commented Alexei Tarasov, senior researcher at the archeology sector of the Institute of Language, Literature and History of the Karelian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. - The state agency that issued this site did not verify the presence of an object of archaeological heritage in this territory. Accordingly, there was a violation in the allocation of the site.

So why, when distributing the land, the young specialist was not warned that the site that she receives has archaeological value? As it turned out, until 2015 there was a regulation, according to which the municipal authorities were also involved in the provision of land. But then a change was made to the Land and Forest Codes, and employees of the Ministry of Property and Land Relations of the region allocated plots without consulting with colleagues from the Prionezhsky district. So Anna received the land.

On the one hand, it is clear - there are rules, laws. And officials were guided exclusively by them. When issuing land, the authority is no longer obliged to find out whether it is under protection. But why did the teacher have to do this? No answer. One thing is clear: there is a lack of interaction between different departments.

By the way, when showing the disputed area, Anna Larionova did not even dare to walk along the flooded foundation with outlets for the future kitchen and bathroom. After all, the land was taken away from her, and suddenly they will again be judged for the fact that she walks around the parking lot of an ancient person? “I spent so much money, effort and nerves! Now, if a new site is allocated, I will immediately turn to specialists to check it,” the girl sighs.

But here is finally followed by comforting news. The Supreme Court of Karelia issued a verdict in favor of Anna Larionova - now she is not obliged to dismantle the foundation, let alone conduct archaeological excavations at the site of an ancient man.

- The Department of Cultural Heritage of Karelia refused the complaint, - Anna happily commented. - Justice has triumphed, and now I will be given a new site.

However, it is still too early to finally calm down: there is a possibility that another trial will follow. Someone must restore the site of the ancient man...
